( Found inside Kreacher's cupboard. There were many years when he was not allowed anything to keep warm but when Regulus was seven years old he gave the house elf a small blanket to sleep with. Walburga and Orion frowned disapprovingly but let him keep the tattered blanket because it was not an item of clothing. The blanket is thin and worn by time but he still uses it on cold nights. )

( Found inside the cupboard Kreacher usually sleeps in, on top of the few photographs he has collected. Kreacher remembers what Regulus occasionally ate as a snack when he was a child and he has prepared the same treat for his return in a few days. The food is preserved by magic so that it will not spoil before Regulus' arrival. )

( It is rare that Kreacher shows his sentimental side; he is a House Elf after all and his job is to look after the Black Family and obey them. No one ever explicitly ordered him not to collect photographs and so he has a small pile of old photographs in the dark corner of his cupboard. The one on top is about fifteen years old, and Kreacher remembers it to be of the youngest Black, Regulus in the winter of 1962. )
